The Beer Report: Warsteiner Verum

Continuing our “99 Bottles of Beer” blog series, let’s try out a Warsteiner Verum.

Appearance

It’s a vivid blonde color, with a fair amount of carbonation. A minimal amount of head is present after pouring it into a glass.

Smell

A mild lemon smell is present, but nothing overpowering.

Taste

Very light, and goes down easy. No aftertaste is present, which is to be expected given its light nature.

Mouthfeel

Surprisingly chewy, and full of flavor.

Overall

I like it. It’s definitely not your average pilsner, and the chewy taste makes it taste a lot better than most pilsners that I’ve had. I paired this off with a toasted chicken sandwich, and it went well. Enjoy!
